根据现有的流行病学证据，二甲双胍处方可以限制主动脉瘤患者的瘤体扩张，并可能降低主动脉瘤和主动脉瘤事件的发生率。需要随机对照试验来确认二甲双胍是否可以减少糖尿病患者或不患糖尿病患者的AAA扩大。

近日，心脏病领域权威杂志Heart上发表了一篇研究文章，该研究旨在评估二甲双胍处方与主动脉瘤、主动脉瘤事件和腹主动脉瘤（AAA）扩大风险的关系。

研究人员检索了PubMed、Embase和Scopus数据库，确定了截止至2018年11月的流行病学研究。研究人员纳入了评估了二甲双胍处方与主动脉瘤疾病风险之间关系的观察性研究，还纳入了涉及AAA进展和扩大的研究。纽卡斯尔-渥太华量表用于评估纳入研究的质量。根据研究之间的异质性进行随机效应荟萃分析。进行敏感性分析以确定异质性的来源。

研究人员纳入了包含29587名参与者的8项符合纳入标准的研究，并纳入该系统评价。研究人员发现二甲双胍处方可显著限制AAA患者的主动脉瘤扩大（加权平均差异：-0.83 mm/年，95％CI为-1.38至-0.28，I2=89.6％）。二甲双胍处方状态可能与降低主动脉瘤和主动脉瘤事件的风险有关。
