线粒体DNA水平可以用来衡量试管婴儿的存活率

追溯到20年以前,染色体稳定性与植入胚胎之间的关系一直困扰着人们,而且随着年龄的增加,这一问题就会显得尤为突出,现在染色体水平异常已经成为孕妇流产以及胚胎植入失败的主要原因。


在生殖治疗过程中,能够筛查试管婴儿存活率的方法逐渐得到应用,帮助意识确保胎儿染色体的数目正确,特别是对于非整倍体的检测,该方法基于对胚胎植入五天后胎儿细胞线粒体中DNA的定量检测得到的,通过对染色体分析和线粒体水平的评估,现在对于试管婴儿的存活率逐年提升。


通过这些从赫尔辛基收集的重要成果的展示,文章的主要作者,牛津纳菲尔德学院的Epida Fragouli博士说:“证据表明线粒体DNA水平可以很好的预测胚胎的植入水平,甚至是那些线粒体DNA水平比较高并且容易异常的人来说,经过检测通过后,在显微镜下,我们也可以看到胚胎生长状态良好。“


研究者们对280例囊泡的线粒体进行了5到6天的染色体水平检测,从而验证了线粒体DNA确实可以作为一项准确的衡量胚胎的指标,这是第一次在这一方面方法的研究,实验设计合理,最后的结果客观符合相关的标准。
