J Nucl Med:全新示踪剂让每个癌细胞都无处可藏!

伦敦国王学院的研究人员们开发了一种新的示踪剂,可以发现癌症的踪迹,这种新开发的物质可以非常快速,轻松地利用放射性药物学,这就意味着很小的医院也可以做出精确的检测,更多的病人有机会获得高质量的扫描检测,争取治疗的黄金时间。

伦敦国王学院的研究人员们开发了一种新的示踪剂,可以发现癌症的踪迹,这种新开发的物质可以非常快速,轻松地利用放射性药物学,这就意味着很小的医院也可以做出精确的检测,更多的病人有机会获得高质量的扫描检测,争取治疗的黄金时间。

来自伦敦国王学院的研究人员们介绍了放射性染料示踪剂,通过注射或液体形式进入人体,再通过正电子发射断层扫描(PET)进行扫描,作为示踪剂会作用到全身的器官和组织,受到疾病如癌症侵犯的组织和器官比健康组织更容易吸收或高或低的示踪剂,吸收的程度可以扫描出来,医生也可以据此做出更加准确的判断。

在此次研究中,科学家们以前列腺癌患者作为主要研究对象,通过对比参与者病例以及之前的检查结果,研究人员证明了这种全新示踪剂的高精准度,只有男性有前列腺,其主要工作是滋养和保护精子分泌液体。前列腺癌是男性最常见的癌症,目前,仅在英国就有超过330000人感染了这种疾病。

研究人员在接受采访时表示:“示踪剂的开发可以使更多的病人获得潜在的医学扫描,低成本和相对简单的生产过程可以使小医院负担得起,也为患者争取到了黄金的治疗时间。我们希望这种技术的示踪剂不仅仅可以用于前列腺癌,也可以应用到其他癌症中。”
