GlycoMimetics制药公司近日宣布，计划在肿瘤扩散至骨骼的乳腺癌患者中开展临床试验以评估GMI-1359的剂量、安全性和药效学标志物。GMI-1359是一种双功能拮抗剂，能够同时靶向E-selectin和CXCR4，而两者都参与肿瘤细胞的转移扩散。

GlycoMimetics制药公司近日宣布，计划在肿瘤扩散至骨骼的乳腺癌患者中开展临床试验以评估GMI-1359的剂量、安全性和药效学标志物。GMI-1359是一种双功能拮抗剂，能够同时靶向E-selectin和CXCR4，而两者都参与肿瘤细胞的转移扩散。

该试验的联合首席研究员，杜克癌症研究所的Kelly Marcom博士和Dorothy Sipkins博士认为：“E-selectin和CXCR4都能介导和促进循环癌细胞的进展和迁移，是阻断肿瘤细胞转移的关键机制。因此E-selectin和CXCR4双功能拮抗剂GMI-1359治疗转移性乳腺癌细胞的设计是合理的”。
