近日，国际杂志 《Diabetologia》上在线发表一项关于大型前瞻性E3N-EPIC队列中膳食抗氧化能力和2型糖尿病风险的研究。 最近的证据表明，氧化应激可能促成2型糖尿病的发病机制。饮食，特别是水果和蔬菜，含有多种具有抗氧化活性的化合物，可能具有累积/协同抗氧化作用。总抗氧化能力是膳食摄入量的一个指标，是所有膳食抗氧化剂抗氧化能力的单一评估。本研究的主要目的是调查总抗氧化能力与2型糖尿病风险之间的关系。 来自法国E3N-European欧洲前瞻性调查癌症和营养（EPIC）队列的64223名女性（平均年龄52±7岁）中，在15年的随访中，共有1751名女性被确诊2型糖尿病。用铁离子还原抗氧化能力（FRAP）法估算总抗氧化能力。使用校正后的Cox比例风险回归模型来计算总抗氧化能力和2型糖尿病风险之间关联的HR和95％CI，并针对潜在的混杂因素进行校正。 在多变量模型中，较高水平的总抗氧化能力与2型糖尿病风险较低有关。与最低五分位女性相比，总体抗氧化能力的三分位，四分位和五分位女性的HR分别为0.74（95％CI 0.63,0.86），0.70（95％CI 0.59,0.83）和0.7
