血管生成素样蛋白2（ANGPTL2）是一种循环中的促炎蛋白。近日，内分泌和代谢性疾病领域权威杂志Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism上发表了一篇研究文章，研究人员旨在探讨ANGPTL2在糖尿病肾病（DKD）发病机制中的作用，研究人员分析了糖尿病患者中angptl2基因表达的表观遗传调控。

研究人员通过横断面（220例患者）和队列（145例患者，7年随访）研究来确定了血清ANGPTL2水平与患者DKD进展之间的关系。此外，研究人员调查了ANGPTL2水平对足细胞功能的直接影响。该研究的主要结局为DKD的进展。

研究人员发现angptl2的表达通过其启动子区域的甲基化而降低。多变量logistic回归分析显示血清ANGPTL2的基线水平是随访期间DKD进展的独立危险因素。在培养的足细胞中，ANGPTL2通过激活粘着斑激酶，使透明带封闭-1从膜转移到细胞质中，直接增加了白蛋白的通透性。

由此可见，ANGPTL2可能直接参与了足细胞功能障碍，并与DKD分期的进展独立相关。
