近期，一项发表在杂志Stroke上的研究旨在确定缺血性卒中后新发AF患者的心血管并发症是否与以前已知的房颤或无房颤患者不同。

此项法国纵向队列研究是基于2009年至2012年的医院护理数据库。

最终，入组了336291例缺血性卒中患者中，其中240459例（71.5％）无AF，95832例（28.5％）此前有AF。没有先前AF患者的平均CHA2DS2-VASc评分为4.98±1.63 SD。在7.9±11.5个月的平均随访期间里，这些患者中有14095例（5.9％）患有AF，其中缺血性卒中后每年发生AF的发生率为8.9 / 100人年（95％置信区间，8.8-9.0 ）。新发AF患者的CHA2DS2-VASc评分较高，更有可能出现合并症，而且以往的短暂性脑缺血发作的病史比此前已知的AF或无AF患者更为频繁。

此项研究表明：此前的心血管并发症是中风后新诊断AF的基础。因此，应密切监测这些高风险患者的事件性房颤，以便早期诊断房颤，使用适当的血栓预防措施避免中风的发生。
