研究人员通过一个手机端app "Reverse the Odds"来对膀胱癌TMA核心样本进行大众分析。研究人员将从公众获得的评分进行了混样分析,并且与由专家设定的黄金标准评分进行了比较,他们还利用大众评分来评估了与疾病特异性生存的相关性。研究数据总共收集了721天,总共有4744339次鉴定。每次鉴定平均时间花费为15秒,其贡献的非游戏时间大约为20000小时。研究发现,通过标记测试进行的大众分析与专家H-评分(染色强度*比例)之间的相关性在0.65到0.92之间,10个相关系数中的6个至少为0.80。另外,至少有2个生物标记(MRE11和CK20)与膀胱癌患者的生存显著相关,且有3个标记的结果显示值得专家进一步跟进。

最后,研究人员指出,通过移动手机app进行的大众分析具有精准筛选IHC数据的能力,并且能够极大的加快发现生物标记的速度。
