一项来自意大利的研究发现超声骨刀劈开狭窄的牙槽嵴联合骨粉移植可有效增宽增高狭窄的牙槽嵴。该研究结果于2015年2月在线发表于INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF ORAL & MAXILLOFACIAL IMPLANTS《国际口腔与颌面移植杂志》。

该研究的目的：牙槽嵴扩张是用来增宽较窄的牙槽嵴，使得牙槽嵴获得足够的高度和宽度以满足后期种植的要求。本研究展示了使用超声手术延迟扩张下颌骨的临床和组织学表现结果。

该研究研究对象的纳入标准:下颌后牙区冠方剩余牙槽嵴的宽度在2.3和4.1mm之间。首先，使用超声手术设备线型切开骨皮质。四周后，联合使用骨扩张器械，如手术刀、细凿和螺纹骨凿，每边的牙槽嵴插入两颗种植体。使用猪生物学材料填满切开的皮质骨间隙。种植体植入后三个月，安装愈合帽，组织学分析组织再生区域收集的内层骨质。每个手术过程中记录牙槽嵴宽度。

32例研究对象（64颗种植体）术后无并发症，第三个月时，种植成功率为96.88%。牙槽嵴宽度平均增加了5.17±0.86mm。组织学检查可见新骨和材料的混合物，并有新骨形成。形态计量学表明64%±3.1%的患者有新骨形成，8%±0，8%由骨髓腔组成，27%±2.6%是由剩余的移植生物材料组成。

该研究表明，使用超声骨刀联合生物材料技术延迟劈开牙槽嵴以扩张狭窄的下颌牙槽骨，可获得较好的水平性骨再生，且颊侧骨板未发生骨折，以及种植体植入的成功率较高。
