Nat Immunol：吃饭也会“发炎”？到底咋回事！

众所周知2型糖尿病会伴随着慢性炎症产生的许多负面影响。因此大量临床研究都通过限制IL-1β这种炎症分子的过度合成来治疗糖尿病。对于糖尿病患者来说，这种炎症分子能够触发慢性炎症引起负责胰岛素合成的β细胞衰竭。

免疫系统激活

但是炎症也会起到一些积极作用，巴塞尔大学医院的研究人员在国际学术期刊Nature Immunology上发表的这项新研究表明对于健康人来说，短期的炎症应答在糖摄取和免疫系统激活方面发挥着重要作用。

在他们的工作中，研究人员证明小肠周围巨噬细胞的数量会在进食的时候出现增加。这些巨噬细胞能够根据葡萄糖水平进行IL-1β的合成，IL-1β可以进而刺激胰腺β细胞合成胰岛素。缺少内源性IL-1β信号的小鼠在再进食和肥胖的情况下会出现血浆胰岛素水平降低的情况。 IL-1β和胰岛素可以增加巨噬细胞对葡萄糖的摄取，确保免疫系统得到充足的葡萄糖供应从而保持活跃。

细菌和营养

据研究人员介绍，这种代谢和免疫机制依赖于摄入的细菌和消化的营养物质。当营养物质充足免疫系统就能够充分发挥对抗外来细菌的作用。与之相反，当缺乏营养物质，机体剩余的能量必须用于更加重要的生命功能。这可能也部分解释了为什么饥饿的时候会更容易患上传染性疾病。
