Neurology:年龄较小时的血管危险因素与脑容量之间关联最密切

由此可见,年龄较小时的血管危险因素似乎对当前和未来的脑容量产生不利影响。

鉴于血管疾病控制时机对降低痴呆风险的潜在治疗效果,近日,神经病学领域权威取杂志Neurology上发表了一篇研究文章,研究人员调查了血管危险因素负担对整个生命周期中脑结构的年龄相关影响。

研究人员分析了来自社区前瞻性弗雷明汉心脏研究的参与者。根据弗雷明汉卒中风险谱(一种预测卒中风险的经过验证的算法)计算总体血管危险因素负担。研究人员通过MRI估计脑容量,并使用横断面数据来评估受试者从45-54岁至85-94岁间每10年血管危险因素负荷与脑容量之间的关联强度变化(N=2887)。其次,研究人员利用长达40年的纵向数据来确定血管危险因素负荷与脑容量之间的关联强度如何在逐渐早期检查血管危险因素时发生变化(N=7868)。

在横断面和纵向分析中,较高的血管危险因素负担与每个年龄段的脑容量降低相关。在横断面分析中,这种关联的强度随着年龄增长而下降(趋势p<0.0001)。在纵向分析中,当在较小的年龄测量血管危险因素时,血管危险因素负荷与脑容量之间的关联强度更强。例如,当血管危险因素在45岁时测量时,血管危险因素负担与晚年脑容量降低之间的关系最为密切。

由此可见,年龄较小时的血管危险因素似乎对当前和未来的脑容量产生不利影响。
