该决定基于临床试验证据，结果表明来那度胺与利妥昔单抗合用可使疾病进展之前的时间延长约39.4个月，而单独服用利妥昔单抗约为13.8个月。

NICE卫生技术评估中心主任Meindert Boysen解释说，Revlimid"不仅为患者提供了无化学疗法的治疗选择，而且还使那些已经对化学疗法或利妥昔单抗产生抗药性的患者受益。"

他继续说："将来那度胺与利妥昔单抗一起使用对癌细胞的毒性要比单独使用这两种药物高。重要的是，与来那度胺合用时，患者也克服了先前对利妥昔单抗的耐药性。"

去年，NICE建议将Revlimid用于以前未经治疗的成年多发性骨髓瘤患者，这些成年人不适合进行干细胞移植并且不能服用沙利度胺。

滤泡性淋巴瘤是低级非霍奇金淋巴瘤的最常见类型，几乎没有症状，这意味着许多患者一旦诊断出时已经进入晚期。
