联合指南编撰委员会主席、美国西北大学心脏病学系主任Clyde W. Yancy博士指出：“假如能在正确的时间，以正确的方式，对正确的患者采取最佳的治疗，那么死亡风险就能非常显著地降低，降低幅度可能多达50%。每给予10例患者正确的治疗，就很可能挽救至少1例患者的生命，并且减少至少1次住院。这是真正的获益，与之相比，很多其他心血管治疗的获益都相形见绌。”
