其次，罗氏的Alecensa（alectinib）被用于治疗罕见的晚期肺癌，称为ALK阳性的非小细胞肺癌。

SMC指出，当疾病处于晚期并且治疗选择有限时，患者通常被诊断出患者，并且Alecensa"与现有治疗相比"提供了疾病进展时间增加的益处"。

据罗氏公司称，与目前的护理标准相比，Alecensa已被证明可以改善预后，包括将疾病进展或死亡的风险降低一半以上，并将中枢神经系统肿瘤的风险降低84％。
瑞典孤儿院的Ravicti（甘油苯丁酸酯）被用于长期治疗成人和2个月以上儿童的尿素循环障碍（UCDs）。

UCD是一种罕见的遗传基因疾病，患者无法从体内排出多余的氮。然后，这会以氨的形式积聚，如果不治疗，可能导致不可逆的脑损伤，昏迷和/或死亡。

Ravicti降低了体内氨的含量，为目前的治疗提供了一种替代方案，"患者通常很难坚持，特别是儿童，因为味道不适且需要大量的药片，"成本监管机构说。

Pharming的Ruconest（conestat alfa）被接受用于治疗罕见急性遗传性血管性水肿的患者，这可能导致身体任何部位肿胀的疼痛和潜在危险的攻击。

该药物是一种无血浆C1-酯酶抑制剂（C1-INH），有助于缓解HAE发作的症状，为患者提供额外的治疗选择。

委员会也无法接受Vifor Pharma的Veltassa（patiromer）治疗高钾血症，这是一种IBD%E8%AF%8A%E6%B2%BB%E8%BF%87%E7%A8%8B%E4%B8%AD%E7%9A%84%E8%AF%84%E4%BC%B0-Part%202" target="_blank">血液中钾含量升高的病症。SMC指出，该公司提供的关于药物成本效益的证据"不足以证明接受它供苏格兰NHS使用"。
