近期,一项发表在PLOS ONE杂志上的研究提供了进一步的证据来阐明这种矛盾的关系。

此项研究结果显示:HRV参数与BMI(RMSSD:P = 0.047; PNN50:P = 0.021; HF:P = 0.041),收缩期(RMSSD:P = 0.023; PNN50:P = 0.032)和舒张期(PNN50: P = 0.030)血压水平之间存在负相关性。另一方面,HRV参数和出生体重之间存在正相关性(RMSSD:P = 0.001; PNN50:P = 0.001; HF:P = 0.002)。

为了确定出生体重对HRV参数的影响,研究者们又对潜在混杂因素(早产、性别、年龄、BMI、身体活动指数和SBP水平)进行多变量线性回归分析。结果发现即使在调整这些混杂因素后,这些发现也得以保留。

此项研究结果表明:受损的心脏自主调节特点是副交感神经活动减少,它们发生在低出生体重的儿童。

研究者推测导致这一现象的可能原因是迷走神经减弱,而不是交感过度活动,这一现象可能出现在低出生体重的儿童的高血压和其他心脏代谢疾病的发展之前。然而,应进行长期研究以调查这种可能性。
