 MedSci评论:     本研究主要显示靶向制剂因为抗血管新生,从而导致肿瘤细胞缺氧,而这种状态能够促进“乳腺癌干细胞”。但是这仅是初步研究,还有很长的路要走:(1)缺氧是如何导致乳腺癌干细胞数量增加?机制是什么?(2)如果阿瓦斯丁和舒尼替尼是这样,那么抗血管新生这条路下一步该如何走?     当然,研究毕竟是研究,不是临床,还没这么可怕。因为许多靶向药物与传统化疗药配合使用,而传统化疗药多是破坏性的治疗,杀伤肿瘤同时,有可能对实体瘤的缺氧状态有所改善(即使不阻断新生血管,实体瘤内部也是缺氧状态)。因此,有效给合不同治疗的优势,是能够找到最佳的组合方案的。     另外,治疗肿瘤还有很多新的思路,也有一些新的药物在研发之中,如近年来不少研究认为抑制肿瘤细胞线粒体的呼吸功能,可能是重要一条途径,它虽然与阻断血管诱导缺氧不同,那么,这种饥饿肿瘤的方法也会有类似的作用吗?不管最终结果如何,需要反思肿瘤的治疗。 乳腺癌转移的整合模型,图片来自Nature Reviews Cancer 5,
