Brain Behav Immun：口腔致病菌感染与抑郁症的发生相关

横断面流行病学研究表明，牙周炎的发病率与抑郁症的发病率呈正相关。然而，二者之间因果关系和潜在机制尚未可知。牙龈卟啉单胞菌（Pg）是牙周炎的主要病原体。每隔一天使用Pg处理4周的雌性小鼠，结果发现Pg小鼠表现出明显的抑郁样行为，活化的星形胶质细胞数量增加，成熟脑源性神经营养因子（BDNF）和海马星形细胞p75NTR水平降低。海马注射BDNF和星形胶质细胞中p75NTR的过表达均减轻了Pg诱导的小鼠抑

总之，该研究首次证明Pg是抑郁症可改变的危险因素，并揭示了治疗抑郁症的新治疗靶点。
