近日研究人员利用高分辨率三叉神经痛刺激脑干成像的方法寻找偏头痛的病理生理机制。

研究招募了18发作性偏头痛患者(EMs),17名慢性偏头痛患者(CMs)以及19名健康对照者(HCs),对其进行左鼻孔疼痛氨刺激和3T MRI扫描,通过高分辨率脑干回波平面成像法获得功能图像。

研究发现,CMs相比于HCs,其右前下丘脑激活程度明显加强;进一步的,研究人员比较了所有的偏头痛患者与所有无头痛患者(健康者以及未发作的偏头痛患者)的功能图像发现,在头痛时下丘脑后部更多的区域被激活。

研究认为,下丘脑对偏头痛疼痛期的病理生理过程起着至关重要的作用。急性疼痛期与下丘脑后部相关,下丘脑前部在慢性偏头痛中起决定作用。
