研究人员比较了健康对照组(非CVD组,n = 13)和诊断为CVD的个体(CVD组,n = 34)在人血浆中的AC分布。使用流动注射分析-串联质谱法对29个AC进行了目标分析。 AC与心脏代谢危险因素之间存在显着的直接相关性(p <0.05)。校正协变量后比较各组,发现两组之间最能区分(p <0.05)且诊断准确性“良好”的AC是肉碱[30.7(25.5-37.7)vs. 37.7(32.3-45.0) µM],短链AC:乙酰肉碱[8.9(7.4-10.2)vs. 11.9(9.2-14.4)µM]和异戊酰基肉碱[0.10(0.06-0.13)vs. 0.13(0.10-0.16)µM],以及中等链AC:己酰基肉碱[0.04(0.03-0.05)vs. 0.06(0.05–0.07)µM]和癸烯酰肉碱[0.18(0.12-0.22)vs.0.22(0.17–0.32)µM]。
