CELL REP:”心脑相连”,心跳期间神经元的波形变化

最近,研究人员发现大脑深层结构中的EAPs在心脏周期中表现出强烈的系统变异性。这些与心脏相关的特征完善了神经分类。

细胞类型的确定对于理解神经回路是至关重要的,但在至今为止,这个小小的愿望在人类大脑中仍然难以实现。

目前的方法是利用细胞外动作电位(EAP)的特征将单元划分为假定的细胞类别。在缺乏地面真实数据的情况下,这仍然是一个有问题的过程。

最近,研究人员发现大脑深层结构中的EAPs在心脏周期中表现出强烈的系统变异性。这些与心脏相关的特征完善了神经分类。

研究人员利用这些特征,将从形态分类的神经元的体外人类全细胞记录生成的生物现实模型与体内记录联系起来。研究人员还在第二阶段区分了脊髓抑制性和脊髓兴奋性的人类海马神经元,并证明心脏运动特征揭示了两种脊髓神经元的内在电生理特性和内源性振荡的锁相特性。

这种多模式方法显著地改进了人类细胞分类,提供了可解释的细胞类别,并适用于其他大脑区域和物种。
