Stroke: 尿尿钠与钾的比值是中风的预测因子

背景和目的
有研究指出,饮食中减少钠的摄入同时增加钾摄入量可以降低血管事件的风险。因此,本研究旨在探讨了MESA(动脉粥样硬化多种族研究)纵向队列中尿钠钾比值与血管事件之间的关系。

方法
MESA是一项前瞻性队列研究,共有来自4个民族(欧洲,亚洲,非洲和西班牙裔美国人)的6814名成年人组成,平均年龄为62±10.2岁,平均患病时间为11.7年。所有参与者在基线时没有临床心血管疾病。在基线时收集尿钠和钾数据。使用Cox比例风险模型评估尿钠钾比对心血管事件的影响。

结果
结果显示只有39%的MESA参与者的尿钠钾比≤1,而这些参与者仅经历了236次中风中的74次。钠钾比> 1与卒中风险的风险比为1.47(95%CI,1.07-2.00)。

结论
本项研究结果指出尿钠钾比值与中风有关。尿钠与钾的比率≤1,可能与临床相关的卒中风险降低有关。
