在CLAREOS-1和CLAREOS-2研究中，共有1503名年龄在9岁及以上的中度至重度痤疮患者被随机分配接受olumacostat glasaretil或安慰剂治疗12周。试验的主要终点是炎性和非炎性病变计数与基线相比的绝对变化。

数据显示，在CLAREOS-1和CLAREOS-2研究中，用olumacostat glasaretil注射治疗的患者从基线至第12周的炎症损伤数量分别减少了14.3和16.6，而对照组患者分别减少了13.7和15.3。同时，在CLAREOS-1和CLAREOS-2中，使用olumacostat glasaretil治疗的患者从基线到第12周的非炎症性病变数量分别减少了14.8和17.8，而对照组患者分别减少了11.2和17.4。

结果这两个试验用药组在所有这些终点都未能显著优于安慰剂组。
