本研究旨在确定Osthole是否可以通过表观遗传修饰修复P-PDLSCs成骨细胞分化的缺陷。结果发现，10−7 mol/L蛇床子素是促进P-PDLSCs增殖和成骨分化的最佳浓度。理论上，此研究还发现，蛇床子素上调MOZ和MORF，以及组蛋白乙酰基转移酶，尤其是H3K9和H3K14，这些是P-PDLSCs成骨分化的关键调节因子。

此外，蛇床子素治疗可改善牙周炎动物模型中细胞板的形成和增强P-PDLSCs的骨形成。该研究表明，蛇床子素可通过调控表观遗传修饰用于治疗牙周炎。
