研究结果显示，习惯性流产女性更多见于肥胖，更多的经历了人工辅助受孕，更多的既往有围产期死亡史，更多的实施剖腹产分娩。与对照组相比，习惯性流产会导致以下不良围生期结局发生风险增加：早产(＜37周孕)(8.1 vs. 5.5%, aOR 1.54; 95% CI 1.29-1.84)；极早产(小于32周孕)(2.2 vs. 1.2%, aOR 1.80; 95% CI 1.28-2.53)；围产期死亡(1.2 versus 0.5%, aOR 2.66; 95% CI 1.70-4.14)。不管是原发还是继发习惯性流产，该结果相似。

研究结果表明，习惯性流产会导致下次妊娠的不良围产期结局风险增加，包括早产、极早产和围产期死亡。该研究强调了对于至少3次以上流产史的女性，下次妊娠时需要专业产科护理，尤其关注早产的风险
