Bioessays：上皮干细胞中YAP和TAZ的生理调节

本研究中，研究人员回顾了近期相关的研究报道，发现YAP和TAZ主要作为上皮细胞极性的传感器，在细胞分化顶端膜结构域时被抑制，当细胞通过其基膜区域接触细胞外基质时被激活。Apical信号发生是通过Crumbs/CRB-Hippo/MST-Warts/LATS激酶级联来磷酸化和抑制YAP/TAZ。基底信号发生通过整合素和Src家族激酶来磷酸化和激活YAP/TAZ。

因此，YAP/TAZ定位于分化的鳞状细胞或柱状细胞中的基底干细胞/祖细胞和细胞质中的细胞核。此外，其他信号，如机械力、组织损伤和可能的受体酪氨酸激酶（RTKs），可影响MST-LATS或Src家族激酶活性以调节YAP/TAZ活性。
