2016年11月13日 讯 /生物谷BIOON/ --当机体神经通路指导由组织产生的兴奋感对脊髓产生损伤时就会出现疼痛的感觉,在脊髓中这些伤害性的信息就会被广泛地进行预处理,随后这些信息就会被传递到大脑中,最终在大脑中疼痛的信号才会被产生,这是科学界的普遍认知;今日一项刊登在Science上的研究报告中,来自维也纳医科大学的研究人员通过研究发现,疼痛感的产生或许并不仅仅是神经的问题,而且还涉及一些非神经的细胞—胶质细胞,胶质细胞在临床上通常能作为相关的疼痛模型进行研究,而且对这些细胞激活就足以放大疼痛。

胶质细胞是人类大脑和脊髓中的一种普遍存在的细胞,其围绕在神经元周围但却同神经元细胞并不一样,同时胶质细胞在多方面都扮演着重要角色,比如大脑和脊髓中的物质运输、代谢以及体液平衡等。

在疼痛发生的过程中,当胶质细胞被激活时,其就会释放信使物质,比如炎性因子等,因此胶质细胞有两种模式:保护性的模式和促炎性模式;研究者Jurgen Sandkuhler指出,胶质细胞的激活能够引发疼痛放大的效应,同时还会将这种疼痛效应扩散到机体中未受影响的区域中区,此前我们通过研究首次在临床上解释了至今原因不明的疼痛现象发生的分子机制。

来自伤口、外科手术甚至阿片类药物所产生的强烈疼痛刺激或许就会引发脊髓中胶质细胞的过度激活,这或许能够帮助解释为何阿片类药物最开始能够有效缓解疼痛,随后便会失去作用效力,另外一个例子就是药物成瘾者的戒断效应,在这些患者机体中被激活的胶质细胞会通过全身引发严重的疼痛作用。

研究者认为,大脑的神经炎症、环境因子,甚至是个体自身的生活方式都会导致机体胶质细胞的激活,当然这有很多例子,比如抑郁症、焦虑症、慢性压力、多发性硬化症、阿尔兹海默氏症、糖尿病、缺乏锻炼及饮食不良等。Sandkuhler说道,胶质细胞在确保个体神经炎性系统的平衡上扮演着重要的角色,本文中我们所提出的改善个体生活方式的方法或许就能够给个体机体的系统带来有益影响,同时还能确保个体遭受较少的疼痛感,因此对于我们而言,每周3-4次的锻炼,每次适度锻炼30分钟,健康的饮食以及避免过重或许就能够给我们的健康带来极大帮助。
