消化道恶性肿瘤是全球肿瘤发病率、病死率的重要部分。根据WHO 公布的数据，2012 年全球消化道恶性肿瘤发病人数为276 万，发病率为35.2/10 万，因消化道恶性肿瘤死亡人数达182 万，病死率为22.3/10 万。在我国，消化道恶性肿瘤发病人数每年已超过200 万，消化道恶性肿瘤死亡人数为160 万，居我国恶性肿瘤发病率、病死率的首位，并呈逐年上升趋势。与此同时，随着近年来医学技术的飞速发展

消化道恶性肿瘤是全球肿瘤发病率、病死率的重要部分。根据WHO 公布的数据，2012 年全球消化道恶性肿瘤发病人数为276 万，发病率为35.2/10 万，因消化道恶性肿瘤死亡人数达182 万，病死率为22.3/10 万。在我国，消化道恶性肿瘤发病人数每年已超过200 万，消化道恶性肿瘤死亡人数为160 万，居我国恶性肿瘤发病率、病死率的首位，并呈逐年上升趋势。与此同时，随着近年来医学技术的飞速发展，胃肠道肿瘤的治疗手段也日新月异，各种治疗方法层出不穷。外科手术日臻完善，腹腔镜和微创治疗也得到了有效推广。放射治疗在机制研究、设备和疗效方面均有明显进步。在药物治疗方面，近半个世纪来，无论是目前广泛使用的细胞毒性化疗药物，还是新兴的分子靶向药物，都取得了很多重大成果，是消化道恶性肿瘤综合治疗中不可缺少的重要手段。然而我国医疗卫生水平存在城乡差异、地区差异、医院间差异以及各医师水平间的差异，因此要降低包括消化道恶性肿瘤在内的各种恶性肿瘤的病死率，消除上述差异，推广标准的药物治疗方案成为当务之急。这既是惠国利民的系统工程，也是临床医师继续教育的重要内容。
