New theories and techniques are emerging in a rapid speed in the fields of spine, trauma, joints and basic research of orthopedics. The orthopedic science in China has also made great progress in the past decades. However, clinical studies of high quality initiated by Chinese orthopedists are still rarely seen, and research papers still remain at a lower level. The Prestige Seminar on Orthopedics Publication 2013, sponsored by the Chinese Medical Doctor Association and MedSci, is organized to promote the publication of China-based orthopedic research by educating the Chinese orthopedists on the clinical study design, academic writing, and grant application skills.
