最近,有研究人员为了开发一种客观的测试和治疗耳鸣的方法,在爆炸暴露的大鼠中了相关研究,并重点测量听觉脑干反应(ABRs)、听觉惊吓反应的前脉冲抑制和耳蜗内毛细胞(IHCs)的突触前带状密度。虽然确切的机制尚不清楚,但 "中枢增益理论 "认为,耳鸣是中枢听觉系统的增益(或神经放大)异常增加的感知指标,以补偿来自耳蜗的感觉输入的外周损失。他们来自vehicle-treated大鼠的数据支持了这一理论;即爆破诱导的耳蜗协同病变与中枢产生的ABR波V振幅与外周产生的波I振幅之比的不平衡升高相关,从而导致耳鸣的行为证据。Logistic回归模型表明,ABR波V/I振幅比值可作为客观识别耳鸣的可靠指标。此外,爆炸暴露大鼠的组织病理学检查显示了中枢听觉通路中关键可塑性因子表达模式的耳鸣相关变化,包括Arc/Arg3.1的逐渐损失。
