“噬菌体疗法因其‘特异性杀菌’、‘易生长’、‘适合基因操作改造’等特点,可联合或在一定程度上替代传统抗生素疗法,成为潜力巨大的医疗新途径。”上海申康医院发展中心副主任、上海公卫中心主任朱同玉介绍说,噬菌体是一类特异性感染细菌、真菌、放线菌等微生物的病毒,特定种类噬菌体能在细菌体内快速增殖并裂解菌体,从而具备临床抗菌的效用。据了解,作为国内感染性疾病临床和研究的重要机构,公卫中心具有生物安全三级实验室,以及先进的分子细胞生物学和疾病动物模型等实验设施和平台,为噬菌体与耐药相关研究奠定了重要基础。

据了解,噬菌体研究所挂牌成立后,将有来自大陆与台湾地区多名在微生物学领域的大咖加盟,拟设立学术委员会与生物安全委员会进行指导和咨询。该研究所将把新型噬菌体研发、耐药菌的治疗研究、噬菌体治疗耐药菌的临床研究作为研究方向,并通过积极组织团队申请和承担国家科技重大专项、联合国内相关研究机构和临床机构等方式,力争在5-10年内做出引领性的、原创性的研究成果,将率先成为国内主要的噬菌体研究和临床转化中心。届时可及时将新开发和引进的新型技术转化和服务于临床,为降低感染性疾病的发病率和死亡率做出贡献。
