在老年人中，较高的白血病风险与诊断前1年、5年和10年较高的平均PM2.5浓度有关。

很少有基于人群的成人流行病学研究来评估空气污染与白血病之间的关系。

近日，肿瘤领域权威杂志British Journal of Cancer上发表了一篇研究文章。研究人员使用丹麦国家癌症登记系统的数据和丹麦DEHM-UBM-AirGIS系统建模的空气污染暴露量，评估了1年、5年或10年平均颗粒物（PM2.5）、黑碳（BC）、二氧化氮（NO2）和臭氧（O3）水平是否与成人白血病或其亚型有关。该研究共纳入了1989-2014年期间诊断的14986名成人病例和51624名年龄、性别和时间匹配的对照者。研究人员采用调整了社会人口统计学因素的条件logistic回归模型评估了每种污染物暴露程度与白血病之间的关系。

经过完全调整的模型显示，在诊断之前，1年、5年和10年PM2.5平均暴露量较高，受试者患白血病的风险更高（例如，10年平均值每增加10μg/m3的OR：1.17，95％CI： 1.03-1.32）。结果主要由70岁及以上的参与者所驱动（10年平均值每增加10μg/m3的OR：1.35，95％CI：1.15-1.58）。对于年轻参与者而言，没有发现这些相关性。BC诊断前1年较高的平均PM2.5暴露量与较高的急性髓细胞性和慢性淋巴细胞性白血病风险有关。

由此可见，在老年人中，较高的白血病风险与诊断前1年、5年和10年较高的平均PM2.5浓度有关。
