抗-血小板疗法已被提出用于败血症的治疗,败血症是由免疫反应失调和凝血功能不适当激活所引起的一种综合征。乙酰水杨酸(ASA)或可作为一种潜在的治疗策略,以防止感染诱发的凝血障碍和相关的组织损伤。

通过活体显微镜,Carestia等人发现金黄色葡萄球菌(S. aureus)感染可导致肝脏内中性粒细胞募集、血小板聚集和中性粒细胞胞外捕集器(NET)释放。

采用ASA预处理的小鼠或感染后3h接受ASA治疗的动物的血小板聚集和NET释放均明显减少。此外,ASA治疗的小鼠的血管内凝血酶活性减弱、微血管栓塞率降低,与未治疗的金黄色葡萄球菌感染的小鼠的相对。这种对凝血的抑制伴随着血浆中ALT和AST水平降低,提示肝脏损伤更小。

最后,各组间肝脏、肺和脾脏的细菌载量(CFU/ml)无差异,ASA处理后Kupffer细胞的吞噬能力得以保留。

本研究结果提示ASA可以作为一种治疗败血症的方法,在降低免疫血栓的有害作用的同时,还可保持先天性免疫功能。
