这也行?因样本污染而撤稿,作者重写一版再次发表

2019年10月3日,以色列希伯来大学的 Nissim Benvenisty 团队在干细胞领域顶级期刊 Cell Stem Cell 发表了题为:Cancer-Related Mutations Identified in Primed and Naive Human Pluripotent Stem Cells 的研究论文。

在这篇论文中,研究团队利用RNA-seq数据鉴定癌症相关基因中的点突变,论证了人类多能干细胞(hPSC)中与癌症相关的突变,发现幼稚态细胞(Naive Cell)比始发态细胞(Primed Cell)的突变率更高。

然而,2020年12月14日,剑桥大学 Guo Ge 等人在 Cell Stem Cell 发表题为:Cancer-Related Mutations Are Not Enriched in Naive Human Pluripotent Stem Cells 的文章,重新分析了上述论文中的RNA-seq数据,发现在幼稚态细胞(Naive Cell)中发现的许多的点突变,其实是样本受到严重污染导致的,在消除这些污染之后,幼稚态细胞(Naive Cell)与始发态细胞(Primed Cell)没有差异。

Guo Ge 等人的这一质疑得到了原论文作者团队的认可,作者团队撤回了这篇 Cell Stem Cell 论文,并为他们的错误致歉。

撤稿之后还没完,论文作者随即修正了上述错误数据,重新写成了题为:Cancer-Related Mutations Identified in Primed Human Pluripotent Stem Cells 的论文,并依然发表在了 Cell Stem Cell 杂志上。
