Cell Rep:西班牙学者揭示神经干细胞或能转化为血管

Ricardo Pardal说:“我们相信,神经干细胞有能力生成血管,这将直接影响幼儿群体某些类型肿瘤的生长”。颈动脉体是位于颈总动脉分叉处的一个细小的神经组织结构。其功能相当于一个天生的化学感受器,能监测血氧含量,调节呼吸。成体干细胞或体母细胞的可塑性,已成为近十年来热议的话题。人们已经知道,神经嵴源性干细胞(NCSCs)在发展过程中表现出明显的可塑性,但目前尚不知晓成人的NCSCs是否仍保留了可塑性。

研究人员为了验证成人颈动脉体干细胞(CBSCs)的可塑性,将人类神经嵴来源的CBSCs导入携带荧光标记的转基因小鼠体内。结果显示,CBSCs除了神经形成中的已知作用外,还能够经历内皮细胞分化,有助于缺氧环境中器官神经和血管的生成。

此外,CBSCs转化成血管细胞则取决于低氧诱导因子(HIF),并且对缺氧状态下释放的血管细胞因子,比如促红细胞生成素,非常敏感。“我们的数据凸显了成人人群中的组织特异性干细胞的生理学可塑性,或能影响此类细胞在细胞疗法中的应用。”Pardal说。
