莫德纳针对BA.4/5变异株的新冠疫苗加强针mRNA-1273.222预计今年秋季推出

今年6月下旬,美国食品药品监督管理局(FDA)建议莫德纳和辉瑞等疫苗制造商研发专门针对BA.4和BA.5变异株以及原始毒株的新款新冠疫苗加强针。FDA说,这些针对BA.4和BA.5变异株的新冠疫苗加强针可能从秋季初到秋季中开始在美国推出

莫德纳表示其正遵循FDA的建议,开发针对BA.4/5变异株的新冠疫苗加强针mRNA-1273.222。但该公司认为,其针对奥密克戎毒株的初始新冠疫苗加强针将足以为人们提供部分对于BA.4/5变异株的免疫力,而且可比针对BA.4/5变异株的新冠疫苗加强针更早开始接种工作。

莫德纳称,其针对BA.1变异株的二价新冠疫苗mRNA-1273.214的最新临床数据显示,与目前已通过授权的新冠疫苗加强针相比,这款疫苗可将人们对BA.4/5变异株的抗体水平提升到明显更高的水平。

不过,随着病毒变异,到今年秋季,可能主要变体已变成BA.2.75了。
