表面预处理的玻璃璃聚物(S-PRG)填料能够释放多种离子,如氟化物、硼酸盐和锶,以释放生物活性效应。研究将S-PRG填料融入根管封闭剂中(S-PRG sealer),随后评估S-PRG封闭剂的抗菌和抗炎效果,并与常规含氧化硅填料的封闭剂(silica sealer)相比较。

抗菌实验结果显示,与含氧化硅封闭剂相比,S-PRG封闭剂显著减少粪肠球菌的浑浊度。将S-PRG或氧化硅封闭剂植入大鼠皮下组织发现,在植入后10天,S-PRG封闭剂的促炎症反应明显低于氧化硅封闭剂。另外,免疫染色显示,S-PRG封闭剂周围CD68和过氧化物酶阳性细胞的浸润程度显著低于氧化硅封闭剂。因此,结果表明,S-PRG封闭剂展现出良好的抗菌和抗炎作用。
