最近,我国研究人员报告了对年轻和衰老猴子的主动脉和冠状动脉的单细胞转录组研究。该数据定义了特定动脉的分子特征,并确定了8个区分主动脉和冠状动脉血管的标志物。

基因网络分析表征了调节血管衰老的转录标志物,并将FOXO3A(一种与长寿相关的转录因子)定位为老龄化过程中在6种猴血管细胞中下调的主调控基因。

在人血管内皮细胞中,FOXO3A的靶向失活重现了在老年猴动脉中观察到的主要表型缺陷,验证了FOXO3A的缺失是动脉内皮衰老的关键驱动因素。

因此,该研究为了解灵长类动物动脉老化的基本原理提供了重要的资源,并为未来治疗年龄相关血管疾病提供了重要的线索。
