Neurology:多吃类黄酮,健康长寿不痴呆!

该结果支持较高的类黄酮摄入量对维持美国男性和女性的认知功能有好处。

类黄酮是一组具有生物活性的酚类化合物,是在不同植物性食物中大量发现的植物营养素的子集。类黄酮存在于不同类型的水果、蔬菜、坚果、种子、香料、谷物、树皮、根、茎、花和其他植物性食物以及茶和酒等饮料中。

此前发表在国际学术期刊《自然-通讯》(Nature Communications)的一项最新研究表明,食用富含类黄酮(Flavonoids)的食物,如苹果和茶,可以预防癌症和心脏病,尤其是对吸烟者和酗酒者。

随着通过富含水果和蔬菜的饮食越来越多地使用类黄酮,世界各地进行了不同的研究,以评估其潜在的健康益处和抗癌特性。为了前瞻性地研究长期膳食类黄酮与主观认知能力下降(SCD)之间的关系,来自哈佛大学与浙江大学的专家开展了相关研究,结果发表在Neurology杂志上。

研究人员对护士健康研究(NHS)(1984-2006年)中的49493名女性和健康专家随访研究(HPFS)(1986-2002年)中的27842名男性进行了跟踪调查。泊松回归法被用来评估膳食类黄酮(黄酮醇、黄酮、黄烷酮、黄烷-3-醇、花青素、聚合类黄酮和原花青素)与随后的SCD之间的关联。

在调整了年龄、总能量摄入、主要非饮食因素和特定饮食因素后,较高的总黄酮摄入与较低的SCD几率有关。在总黄酮摄入量的最高五分位数与最低五分位数的比较中,SCD的3个单位增量的集合风险降低19%(OR=0.81,95% CI:0.76,0.89)。

进一步在汇总的结果中,观察到黄酮(OR= 0.62 [95% CI 0.57, 0.68])、黄烷酮(OR=0.64 [0.58, 0.68])和花青素(OR=0.76 [0.72, 0.84])的关联性最强,分别降低38%、36%、24%的封信。黄酮的剂量反应曲线最陡峭,其次是花青素。最后,文章还指出,许多富含黄酮的食物,如草莓、橙子、葡萄柚、柑橘汁、苹果/梨、芹菜、辣椒和香蕉,与SCD的低风险明显相关。
