慢性便秘严重影响儿童和青少年的生活质量，初步证据表明骶神经调节可改善顽固性功能性便秘患者的症状和生活质量，同时花费较为合理

近日研究人员比较了骶神经调节（SNM）和保守治疗对儿童和青少年便秘患者治疗的成本效益。

研究采用马尔可夫概率模型比较了SNM和保守治疗对10-18岁顽固性便秘患者的花费和效果。研究招募了30名女性顽固性功能性便秘患者，平均年龄16岁，平均泻药使用时间5.9年。患者进行SNM测试，其中27人接受了永久性骶神经调节。研究随访22.1个月。

研究发现，SNM组以及保守治疗组，患者累积的治疗花费分别为 €17789和€7574 。SNM组生活质量校正寿命(QALYs)为1.74年，保守治疗组为0.86年，平均增量成本效益比为每QALY €12328。

老年人慢性便秘的评估与处理专家共识

慢性便秘严重影响老年患者的生活质量及身心健康，耗费了大量的医疗经费，是一个重要的公共卫生问题，也是一个棘手的临床难题，因此，如何科学地评估、有效地处理老年人慢性便秘意义重大。为此，我们组织国内部分老年病、消化病学专家制订了本共识，供广大临床医护人员参考。

ACG 2015：慢性便秘是一种胃肠道疾病的预警信号

美国胃肠病学会2015年会上提出的一项新研究提示，成人慢性便秘可能预示着包括缺血性结肠炎、结肠直肠癌、胃癌、肠窒室等一些严重中的胃肠道疾病。Lauren Gerson博士提出，有慢性便秘时，不论年纪大小，有无胃肠道出血、贫血、体重减轻等胃肠道疾病危险信号时，都需要去检查。一些器质性的胃肠道疾病，比如结肠直肠癌，会出现慢性便秘症状，但是慢性便秘却不是发展成为结直肠癌以及其他一些严重的器质性胃肠道疾病

     慢性便秘的治疗通常使用较多的是轻泻剂，但是轻泻剂不能有效改善便秘的症状，2008年一项研究显示，虽然16%~40%的便秘患者使用轻泻剂，但症状依然存在，与未使用轻泻剂的患者相比没有显著差别。2007年一项基于网络的调查显示，有47%的患者对轻泻剂不完全满意，其中82%由于疗效不佳，16%由于安全性。因此，现有的治疗还不能满足慢性便秘者的治疗需要。 &n
