葛兰素史克（GlaxoSmithKline）近日表示，欧盟委员会已经批准其申请，将Benlysta（belimumab）的适应症扩展至5岁及以上的系统性红斑狼疮（SLE）患者。

葛兰素史克（GlaxoSmithKline）近日表示，欧盟委员会已经批准其申请，将Benlysta（belimumab）的适应症扩展至5岁及以上的系统性红斑狼疮（SLE）患者。具体而言，尽管有标准疗法，但BLyS特异性抑制剂可作为具有主动疾病、高度疾病活动的自身抗体阳性SLE患者的附加疗法。葛兰素史克首席科学官Hal Barron表示：“狼疮患儿通常比成年患者具有更严重的疾病，更早出现器官损伤，但是他们的治疗选择受到限制”。

该决定是基于上个月欧洲药品管理局人用药品委员会（CHMP）的积极意见而做出的，该决定基于PLUTO试验的最新结果，该试验评估了静脉内Benlysta联合标准疗法与安慰剂联合标准疗法的差异。
