CELL:COVID-19中和抗体预测患者生死

研究人员在CELL杂志发文,其检查了113例COVID-19患者的抗体反应,发现导致插管或死亡的严重病例表现出炎症标志物增加、淋巴细胞减少、促炎细胞因子和高抗RBD抗体水平的增加。

2019年冠状病毒传染病(COVID-19)是由严重急性呼吸综合征冠状病毒2(SARS-CoV-2)的感染所引起, COVID-19表现出不同严重程度的临床症状,从无症状到危及生命。目前,这种差异性对保护性免疫反应的发展,以及抗体在疾病进展中的作用的影响尚不清楚。虽然目前各国正在开发针对轻度和重度COVID-19病例的治疗方案,但是我们对于这些研究性疗法对SARS-CoV-2免疫反应的影响了解有限。

最近,研究人员在CELL杂志发文,其检查了113例COVID-19患者的抗体反应,发现导致插管或死亡的严重病例表现出炎症标志物增加、淋巴细胞减少、促炎细胞因子和高抗RBD抗体水平的增加。虽然抗RBD IgG水平一般与中和滴度相关,但中和效价的定量显示,高效价是预测生存率的指标。

除了中和野生型SARS-CoV-2外,患者血清还能中和最近出现的SARS-CoV-2突变体D614G,这表明抗体对两种病毒株都能提供交叉保护,避免宿主再感染。

然而,SARS-CoV-2血清普遍缺乏对尚未跨越物种屏障的高度同源的前期蝙蝠冠状病毒WIV1-CoV的交叉中和。

这些结果凸显了中和体液免疫对疾病进展的重要性,以及制定广泛的保护性干预措施以防止未来冠状病毒大流行的必要性。
