Nutrients:肠道微生物会影响性格?多吃蔬菜可能获得更多“正能量”!

肠道不仅是人体消化吸收的重要场所,同时也是最大的免疫器官,在维持正常免疫防御功能中发挥着极其重要的作用。作为人体最庞大、最复杂的微生态系统,肠道微生物本身及其代谢产物不仅能调节人体健康,更在膳食和宿主之间起到了重要的桥梁作用。

虽然,人体肠道微生物的主要组成类群非常相似,但在不同宿主个体间,不同微生物类群的相对含量和菌株种类存在着很大差异。影响微生物菌群差异的因素包括宿主的地域、年龄、生理状况、饮食习惯等因素。

众所周知,在成年后,肠道微生物基本保持稳定,除非出现胃肠道问题或服用抗生素等,而性格特征可能需要数年时间才能改变。近期,来自克拉克森大学的研究人员发表在Nutrients杂志上一项研究,揭示了肠道微生物组和代谢组学途径与身体疲劳、精神能量、精神疲劳和体力之间的关系。

在这项研究中,研究人员对20名受试者进行研究,其中包含14 名男性和6 名女性,平均年龄为31 ± 5 岁,尽管平均 BMI 属于超重类别,但受试者身体活跃,通常进行阻力训练。肠道微生物组和代谢组分别通过 16 S rRNA 分析和非靶向代谢组学分析确定。

结果显示,肠道微生物群、饮食和相应的代谢组可能与四种不同的身心能量和疲劳特征相关。比如,最常与能量感觉相关的细菌执行代谢功能,而最常与疲劳感觉相关的细菌与炎症相关。

具体而言,精神能量和身体疲劳分别与一个以上的门相关。精神能量与放线菌和疣微菌相关,而变形菌和拟杆菌门仅与身体疲劳相关。有趣的是,厚壁菌门与每个性格特征相关。

与特定性状显著相关的细菌分类群.

另外,在检查细菌功能通路时,没有一条通路与精神和身体疲劳特征相关;然而,大多数途径与心理能量相关,且大多数途径属于代谢(1 级)和外源生物降解(2 级)。遗憾的是,尚不清楚这些途径的精神能量表达,这需要进一步研究。由于受试者自称经常参加阻力训练,平均蛋白质摄入量为 136.2 ± 15.3 /天(最低 32.2 克,最高 272 克),纤维摄入量从 3 /天到 46 /天不等。

细菌与重要营养素/食物之间的相关性.

饮食影响肠道微生物群组成,研究显示,只有一组食物,加工肉类(香肠、咸牛肉和午餐肉等),与四种性格特征相关,精神疲劳(0.538p = 0.014)和身体疲劳(0.513p = 0.021)呈正相关,与精神能量(-0.790 p = 0.021)和体力 (-0.478, p = 0.021)呈负相关。有趣的是,叶酸和富含叶酸的食物来源、深绿色蔬菜和红色和橙色、淀粉质和其他蔬菜与精神能量呈正相关。另外,纤维摄入不足可能会降低肠道微生物群的多样性。

总之,这项大型研究能给我们提供一些对改变能量和疲劳感的营养干预措施的个体差异。然而,未来有必要探索肠道微生物群在了解健康年轻人长期存在的精神和疲劳感方面的作用。
