美国一项最新研究发现，电子香烟的香味烟液可能破坏内皮细胞功能，从而增加心脏病风险。

斯坦福大学医学院等机构研究人员5月27日在《美国心脏病学会杂志》上报告，他们利用人类诱导多能干细胞培养内皮细胞，让它们接触含有或不含尼古丁的6种不同香型的常见电子烟液。内皮细胞是一种衬于心脏、血管和淋巴管内表面的主要细胞类型。

结果显示，接触肉桂味和薄荷醇味电子烟液后，即使不含尼古丁，内皮细胞的活力也会显著下降，内皮细胞形成毛细血管样管状结构的能力也受到影响，这种结构与新血管的生长有关。而其他香型对内皮细胞也表现出一定程度的毒性。

肉桂味和焦糖香草味的电子烟液还会导致内皮细胞对低密度脂蛋白和脂类摄取能力增强，这通常与内皮细胞出现炎症和功能失常有关，并可导致内皮细胞修复伤口的能力下降。
