NAT COMMUN: 乳酸菌如何减轻汉堡薯条诱导的糖尿病?

研究人员进一步使用基因表达和电镜研究表明,乳酸菌属的两个物种可以作用于肝脏中的线粒体,导致脂质代谢的改善。代谢组学分析显示,减少的谷胱甘肽可能介导这些效应。

越来越多的证据强调了微生物组在人类代谢健康和疾病中的重要性。最流行的代谢性疾病之一,2型糖尿病(T2D),已经成为一个全球性的流行病。预计在未来十年,被诊断为T2D的患者数量将进一步增加。

所谓的 "西方饮食"(WD,高饱和脂肪和精制糖的饮食)已被确认为T2D的主要罪魁祸首之一。已有的研究显示,肠道微生物群在调节饮食的影响中发挥着重要作用。因此,我们迫切需要阐明肠道微生物群对WD引起的代谢损害的影响,并确定T2D的预防方法。

最近,研究人员在Nature Communications杂志发文,其使用数据驱动的方法(Transkingdom Network analysis)来模拟西方饮食环境下宿主与微生物群的相互作用,以推断哪些微生物群成员有助于宿主代谢的改变。

对该网络的分析指出了对宿主代谢具有潜在有益或有害影响的类群。然后,研究人员验证了预测的细菌在调节新陈代谢的功能作用,并表明它们通过不同的宿主途径发挥作用。

研究人员进一步使用基因表达和电镜研究表明,乳酸菌属的两个物种可以作用于肝脏中的线粒体,导致脂质代谢的改善。代谢组学分析显示,减少的谷胱甘肽可能介导这些效应。

因此,这项研究确定了治疗T2D的潜在益生菌菌株,并对其作用机制提出了重要见解。
