Novavax近日宣布，已启动COVID-19候选疫苗NVX-CoV2373的I / II期试验，第一批参与者已入组，预计将于7月份取得初步结果。

Novavax近日宣布，已启动COVID-19候选疫苗NVX-CoV2373的I / II期试验，第一批参与者已入组，预计将于7月份取得初步结果。该消息发布之前，流行病防备创新联盟（CEPI）最近向Novavax授予了高达3.84亿美元的额外资金，以推进NVX-CoV2373的开发。NVX-CoV2373是一种稳定的预融合蛋白，将结合Novavax的Matrix-M佐剂和疫苗的非佐剂形式。

Novavax首席执行官Stanley Erck说：“我们期待在7月份得到初步临床结果，并可以迅速启动该试验的II期部分”。I期试验是一项随机、安慰剂对照的研究，将评估NVX-CoV2373的免疫原性和安全性，预计在澳大利亚的两个地点招募约130名18至59岁的健康参与者。Novavax表示，该试验的第二阶段部分预计将在包括美国在内的多个国家进行，并将评估更广泛年龄段参与者的免疫原性、安全性和降低COVID-19疾病的可能性。

该公司表示，CEPI的资金将允许到2020年底生产多达1亿剂疫苗，并使其能够在多个国家获得大规模生产的能力。
