众所周知,运动有益健康。但长期以来困扰人们的问题是,究竟是早上运动还是晚上运动产生的效果更好。最近的一项研究指出,在预防前列腺癌和乳腺癌患者方面,早上运动或许是更为理想的选择。

由维也纳医科大学、庞培法布拉大学、巴塞罗那全球卫生研究所(ISGlobal)等处的研究人员共同发表在《International Journal of Cancer》的一篇研究报告,探索了人们在每日不同时间段进行体育锻炼对前列腺癌和乳腺癌风险的影响,发现与晚上运动相比,早上8点-10点锻炼带来的保护作用更为显着。

研究数据源于一项被称为MCC‐Spain的基于人群的病例对照研究。在最新的这项实验中,研究人员对符合条件的参与者进行面对面访谈,采集了他们的人体测量数据和生物学样本,并在6个月至5年内通过电话访谈形式了解其睡眠模式、进食时间和体力活动时间等信息。

共有2795位参与者被纳入研究,包括781例乳腺癌患者以及865例女性对照人群、504例前列腺癌患者以及645例男性对照者。这些参与者的运动时间可被归纳为5个范围:早晨8-10点、上午10-12点、下午12-7点、晚上7-11点和其他的运动时间。

这些参与者中,47.6%经常散步,10.3%喜欢去健身房锻炼,7.2%选择游泳,4.3%倾向于踢足球,3.6%偏爱骑自行车。在清晨运动的参与者更可能游泳或骑自行车,而晚上运动的参与者更偏向于去健身房、踢足球、跳舞、打网球等其他中等强度的体育活动。

乳腺癌和前列腺癌患者及对照组人群的描述性特征

数据显示,早晨8-10点运动似乎对女性更有益,早晨8-10点、晚上7-11点以及其他时间段运动则更有助于男性防范前列腺癌风险。具体而言,与不运动相比,早晨8-10点运动与乳腺癌风险降低26%有关,早晨8-10点、晚上7-11点以及其他时间段运动分别与前列腺癌风险降低27%、25%以及21%有关。

乳腺癌和前列腺癌与体育锻炼时间的关联

进一步乳腺癌的临床亚组分析显示,早晨8-10点运动似乎对雌/孕激素受体(ER/PR)以及HER+亚组具有保护作用,并且与绝经前的女性相比,绝经后女性在早晨8-10点运动的益处更大。除此之外,研究人员还发现早晨进行体育锻炼对侵袭性肿瘤的保护作用往往更强。

运动时间与不同乳腺癌亚型以及绝经状态的关联

至于早晨锻炼能够提供更强大保护作用的原因,研究人员猜测可能与体育锻炼的时间影响了性激素和褪黑激素的节律有关。先前的研究表明,运动与雌激素水平较低有关,早晨8-10点运动有助于在7点钟雌二醇达到高峰后降低这一激素的水平。另外,早晨运动似乎能够刺激有助于睡眠的副交感神经活动,而夜间运动延缓了男性血浆中褪黑激素昼夜节律的下降阶段,减少了快速眼动睡眠,并加快了第二天晚上的心率。

总之,这项研究表明,早上进行体育活动比一天中其他时间更有助于人们减少患前列腺癌和乳腺癌的风险。当然,仍需进行更多实验以探索运动时间影响昼夜节律的生物学机制以及运动时间对癌症风险潜在影响的机制。
