Radiology:高级别胶质瘤肿瘤细胞中有多少巨噬细胞在躁动?

本研究旨在验证纳米氧化铁增强MRI作为非侵入性影像学手段评估成人高级别胶质瘤巨噬细胞的价值。

本研究共纳入了高级别胶质瘤的成年患者,并行经静脉注射纳米氧化铁增强MRI 。基于纳米氧化铁信号改变对肿瘤两个位点进行术中取样。利用各自的位图对感兴趣测量磁敏感性和弛豫率R2* (1/T2*)和R2 (1/T2)。利用普鲁士蓝染色、CD68、 CD163和胶质酸性纤维蛋白进行染色。利用Pearson相关、线性混合模型评估影像学指标与高背景下含铁巨噬细胞的数目的相关性。

结果共纳入10例高级别胶质瘤患者。在磁敏感性、R2*和R2'与高倍镜下CD163-阳性、CD68-阳性含铁巨噬细胞数目具有相关性(r范围为0.55-0.57; P值范围为.01-.02)。在R2 and CD163-阳性 (r = 0.33; P = .16)和CD68-阳性(r = 0.24; P = .32)含铁巨噬细胞数目间无显着相关性。在线性混合模型中叶得到相似结果。在组织病理学分析中,仅在巨噬细胞中发现铁粒子,在胶质酸性纤维蛋白阳性肿瘤细胞中并未发现铁粒子。

本研究表明,纳米铁增强MRI中磁敏感性、R2*和R2' (R2* - R2)指标与含铁巨噬细胞浓度具有相关性,这表明其对恶性胶质瘤巨噬细胞具有潜在性定量评价的价值。
