最近,有研究人员评估了语前儿童耳聋患者耳蜗移植后,是否耳蜗神经(CN)横截面积与听觉表现有关。

研究是一个前瞻性的队列研究,包括了32名患有双边永久感音性听力损失(SNHL)的语前儿童,他们均接受了单边耳蜗植入。研究人员核磁共振(MRI)成像对32名患者的耳蜗神经进行了鉴定。耳蜗神经的平均横截面积(CSA)在内耳道(IAC)基部为0.71±0.16 mm2,在IAC中部为0.73±0.18 mm2。在设备激活后的第6个月,IAC中部的CSA与听觉行为分级标准(CAPS)评分的相关值为0.271(p=0.140),且IAC中部的CSA与婴幼儿有意义听觉整合量表(IT-MAIS)得分之间的相关值为0.282(p=0.124),上述相关值均没有统计学显著性。

最后,研究人员指出,MRI耳蜗神经横截面面积与设备激活后第6个月听觉CAPS和IT-MAIS评分之间没有关联。因此,研究人员认为耳蜗直径的变化对耳蜗植入后的听力结果没有影响。
