高维生素C水平与心源性卒中和阿尔兹海默症风险降低相关

既往观察性研究报道,血浆维生素C水平与血管疾病(CVD)和阿尔兹海默症(AD)有一定相关性;但是,迄今为止,尚未得出来什么结论性的结果。

浙江大学第一附属医院心内科郑良荣主任率团队开展了一项孟德尔随机(MR)研究,探索了维生素C与9种心血管疾病(冠状动脉疾病[CAD]、心肌梗死[MI]、房颤[AF]、心衰[HF]、卒中、缺血性卒中[IS]和IS亚型)和阿尔兹海默症风险的因果关系。

近期的全基因组荟萃分析(n=52018)鉴定出了11个可作为血浆维生素C水平的工具变量的单核苷酸多态性(SNP)。从全基因组关联研究(GWAS)中提取CVD和AD的概要级数据。使用固定效应反方差加权 (IVW) 方法、加权中位数和MR-Egger方法进行MR分析。

维生素C水平与心源性卒中风险的相关性

分析结果发现,高维生素C水平的遗传倾向与较低的心源性卒中风险(血浆维生素C水平每升高1个标准差的优势比[OR] 0.773,95% CI 0.623-0.959; p=0.020)和阿尔兹海默症风险(OR 0.968, 95% CI 0.946-0.991; p=0.007)相关。敏感性分析得到了相似的结果。但在维生素C与其他心血管疾病之间未观察到类似的相关性。

维生素C水平与阿尔兹海默症风险的相关性

综上所述,该研究提供了支持高维生素C水平与心源性卒中和阿尔兹海默症风险降低相关的证据。但没有证据提示维生素C水平会影响冠状动脉疾病、心肌梗死、房颤、心衰、卒中、卒中亚型、大动脉卒中或小静脉卒中的风险。
