分离的癌症干细胞可自然地对称分裂，且具有抗药性。氟尿嘧啶和多西紫杉醇的治疗都促进了干细胞的增殖，证明了干细胞的耐药性。Wnt激活刺激干细胞的更对称分裂，导致自我更新促进，这可能被Let-7过表达而阻断。此外，增强Let-7使干细胞以Wnt通路抑制依赖的方式致敏化疗，有助于Let-7的化疗增敏作用。Wnt激活后通过CCAT-1的海绵功能削弱了对Let-7b的抑制，形成了Let-7b/Wnt/CCAT1的负反馈回路。

总之，这些结果确定了干细胞在食管癌发生和进展中作为有效指标参与，且Let-7纳米颗粒在癌症治疗中潜在的强大作用。
